Although only a few miles from Aspen, Snowmass has its own distinct village offering a full calendar of daily activities, fine restaurants, charming boutiques and exceptional accommodations. More then 90 percent of the resort’s hotel’s and condominiums are located on the mountain putting you right in the middle of the action, another reason why Snowmass has become one of the most popular resorts in the Rockies for family vacations. The new base village of Snowmass is also taking shape, with construction that began summer 2005. The future base village will feature a children’s center, conference space, new shops and restaurants along with an aquatic center – all connected to the upper village area by a gondola ride on the Sky Cab.
