New for 2007! We now offer the ultimate in full- and half-day Rocky Mountain activities… the Colorado Zephyr Canyon Adventure! Ride our luxury limo van, which departs from your front door in Summit County to Granby, CO. Then enjoy over 100 miles of breath-taking scenery as you wind your way through four of Colorado’s most spectacular canyons; Byers, Gore, Red and Glenwood. This three-hour rail journey is heralded as having the most inspiring scenery in the Continental U.S. railroad system.

Once in Glenwood Springs, we also include trip (time permitting) to the Fairy Caves Adventure Park (declared to be one of the top ten caves in the country by USA Today) or the magnificent Glenwood Hot Springs, the world’s largest thermally heated outdoor swimming pool. “You gotta see it to believe it!”

On our way back to Summit County, we also make a two-hour stopover in the world-class resort town of Vail, CO. Shop to your heart’s content or relax and enjoy top-notch dining opportunities in Vail’s numerous restaurants and bistros. From May through October, take an adventurous step back into history with more fascinating train ride excursions offered by Alpenglow Adventures. We offer two full-day and half-day trips to the Georgetown Loop Railroad and the Royal Gorge Route RR in Canon City.
Choose a full-day adventure on the Georgetown Loop that includes a breath-taking narrow gauge railroad ride through lush forests and over icy clear streams. Enjoy the guided tour of the Lebanon Silver Mine and thrill to a lakeside picnic lunch that includes free boat rides. We top it off with a visit to historic Georgetown for an hour shopping stroll and finish with a wine tasting at the Canyon Winds Wine Cellar.
Half-day trips include the train-ride and Georgetown stroll only, with the extra advantage of a scenic trip high atop Loveland Pass for a view that you'll never forget.
Our Canyon City adventure on the Royal Gorge Route is the epitome of Colorado excitement. The train-ride covers 22 miles of rugged terrain in the deepest canyon in the entire state. Feel the rush of cool air as you bask in the warm sunshine and wave to the white-water rafters challenging the mighty Arkansas River. Then, we take you high atop the canyon to the Royal Gorge Bridge and Park. You can cross the world's highest suspension bridge by foot, trolley or aerial tram and even take a fascinating vertical train ride back down to the river bottom. This adventure is a must for all families wanting the most scenic landscape that Colorado has to offer.
